The main thing about this fight is staying in the center of the arena. He has several fireball attacks, but they are easily deflected by swatting your Sword. Vire is the lapdog of Onox, but he definitely isn't a chip off the old baddie. Vire's chamber is completely lined in spikes, so you'll have to step lively in order to beat him. When Agahnim's flame is extinguished, he will drop a fairy and a portal. If you run out of Ember Seeds, get more from the plants in the corners of the room. They're big and slow, but if you get near them, you'll feel the sting.Įventually, each torch will fade, so they'll have to be lit several times during the course of the fight. But watch out for those huge fireballs he likes to throw. When this happens, approach the baddie and whack him with your Sword. When the torches are lit and Agahnim appears, a shadow will show up beneath the feet of the real McCoy. That is, until you drop an Ember Seed into each of the torches. His racket is that he separates into three parts, and you can't tell which one of him to hit. This crafty mini-boss will try to trick you with subterfuge and sly craftiness. In order to beat Agahnim, you'll need plenty of Ember Seeds, some quick feet and your Sword. When this happens, you'll get a portal, a new staircase in the lower right corner of the room and a fairy. Repeat this process until all three squid go down. Then attack with the Sword as he's flopping back to the water. Wait for a squid to surface, then pull him out of the pond and chuck him into the corner. To do this, equip the Bracelet and your Sword. But they are invulnerable in water, so you'll have to get them out of there. Other than that, they aren't much of a threat. These guys surface from pools in the arena and try to pepper Link with fireballs. Three separate squids make up the fighting force of Calamareye. You'll need to do this several times in order to beat him, but when you do, you'll get the requisite fairy and portal. Hack at the blinking ball until Syger turns spiky again, then get on the defensive. When Syger stops, charge in on the side the ball is on. Pegasus Seeds help, so use them liberally. When he does this, you'll have to avoid him. This bad cat likes to curl up into a spiked ball and roll around the arena at top speed. The object is to hit the ball, but Syger has advanced defenses, so this can be tough. This is one fast kitty! Syger is a sabre-toothed tiger with a red ball at the end of his tail. Make sure you aim at the center of his ugly mug, or you may miss the hit. To get back at the face, toss bombs at him when he appears. When he starts making holes in the floor, run around like a crazy man until they go away. The third thing Facade will do is open the ground under your feet. Just stay on the edge of the arena and watch the shadows. These are easy to dodge if you aren't up close. Secondly, he will send a stream of fireballs into the air. Firstly, he will send out an army of spiders to nibble at you. It's all a facade! This mini-boss is nothing more than a face, but he knows how to defend himself. When they drop, you'll get a healing fairy and a portal back to the first room in the Dungeon. Just dodge the whirling 'rang and slay the Brothers with your Sword. Ultimately, if you can predict where the boomerang will go, these guys will be pretty easy to beat. The problem happens when you get in their way. The Goriya Brothers share a single boomerang which they really like to throw back and forth.
